ASIMUTE partners: Article published in “Energy”

We are pleased to announce that our partners from KIT, Thomas Dengiz, Andrea Raith, Max Kleinebrahm, Jonathan Vogl and Wolf Fichtner, have published a paper entitled “Pareto local search for a multi-objective demand response problem in residential areas with heat pumps and electric vehicles” in the journal Energy.

In their article, the authors present an optimization framework and apply a novel demand-response algorithm. The framework models residential electricity loads, with a particular focus on flexible devices such as heat pumps, thermal storage systems and electric vehicle charging. The proposed demand-response algorithm helps to react to dynamic price signals while simultaneously reducing peak loads within a neighborhood.
